Questions
Before you start
I have never lifted a barbell. Is this for me?
Yes. You do not need any experience to start. Your coach begins at your level, with light weights and plenty of practice before anything gets heavy.
Who do you coach?
Training here is in person and coached, for all ages and abilities. Some people come to get strong, some to learn powerlifting, some to get back to normal after an injury.
Can I train with an injury?
Often, yes. Tell us about it at your intro session. Rehab-focused training works around an injury and builds strength back gradually. If you are seeing a physio or doctor, we follow their advice, and we will tell you if we think you should see one first.
Do I have to compete in powerlifting?
Not at all. Powerlifting technique is the squat, bench press and deadlift done well. Some people like to test themselves at a competition; plenty just want to get stronger, and that is a fine reason too.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes you can move in, flat trainers and a water bottle. That is all you need for your first session.
How do I pay?
You can buy coaching packages online by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on our packages page.
