Rehab-focused training
Training back to strength after an injury, at a pace that suits your body.
Getting strong again
An injury can knock your confidence as much as your body. Rehab-focused training is about rebuilding both: careful, coached strength work that starts where you are and moves forward only when you are ready.
We are strength coaches. We do not diagnose injuries; if you are seeing a physio, GP or consultant, we work alongside their advice and the exercises they have given you. If something you tell us needs a professional to look at it first, we will say so.
Most of this happens in 1:1 sessions, so your coach can adjust every exercise to how you feel on the day. When you are ready, you can move into a small group.
How it works
A steady way back
-
Tell us about the injury
What happened, what you have been told, what hurts and what does not. Bring any exercises your physio has given you.
-
Start where you are
We find the movements you can do comfortably and build from those, not from where you were before.
-
Build gradually
Small, regular steps up in load, with your coach watching how you respond and adjusting as you go.
-
Back to normal training
The goal is training without having to think about the injury: in a group, on your own, or back to your sport.
Questions
Rehab questions
Do I need to see a physio first?
For a new or unexplained injury, yes, please get it looked at. For an injury that has been assessed and you have been told to get stronger, we can help you do exactly that.
What if something hurts during a session?
Tell your coach straight away. We will change the exercise, the weight or the range of movement. Nothing in a session should be pushed through pain.
