1:1 coaching
Your coach, your session and a plan built around you.
What 1:1 coaching is
In a 1:1 session it is just you and your coach. Every set is watched, every lift is adjusted there and then, and the whole session is built around what you need that day.
We start with an intro session to understand your goals, your training history and anything we need to work around: an old injury, a stiff back, a busy week. From there your coach writes a plan that is yours alone and changes it as you progress.
1:1 coaching suits you if you want undivided attention, if you have a specific goal, or if you would like to learn the basics properly before joining a small group.
Good for
Who 1:1 coaching suits
-
Complete beginners
Learn to squat, hinge, push and pull with good technique from the very first session, at your own pace.
-
A specific goal
A first pull-up, a heavier deadlift, a competition, an event you are training for: a plan aimed at exactly that.
-
Training around an injury
Close coaching while you build strength back, adjusted to how you feel each session.
-
Anyone who wants the full attention
Some people simply train better with a coach to themselves. That is a perfectly good reason.
A typical session
What a 1:1 session looks like
-
Check in
How you have slept, how you feel, anything that is niggling. The session is adjusted to match.
-
Warm up
Movement that gets you ready for the main lifts of the day.
-
The main work
Your key lifts for the session, coached set by set, with the weights chosen to suit how you are moving.
-
Supporting exercises
The accessory work that strengthens weak spots and keeps you training well.
-
Plan the next one
What went well and what to work on next, so the next session builds on this one.
Start with an intro session
Meet your coach, talk through your goals and try a few lifts. Then choose your 1:1 package.
